My Experience

It has truly been a journey!

My career began as a software engineer at Sapient, where I built eCommerce applications. I was immediately drawn to the "business" discussions, leading me to quickly transition into a senior role that balanced my core interests in business strategy, product, and technology.

Today, regardless of my specific role or organization, I consistently find myself serving as the critical bridge between business needs and technical implementation. This is driven by the fundamental challenge every organization faces: successfully aligning and translating strategic goals into tactical execution, and then tracing that work upwards to ensure expected top-level outcomes.

The cost of this misalignment is staggering. As McKinsey notes, "On average, large IT projects run 45 percent over budget and 7 percent over time, while delivering 56 percent less value than predicted. In fact, 17 percent of IT projects go so bad that they can threaten the very existence of a company."

I proactively address this gap by focusing on:

  • Strategic Portfolio Management to inform Product and Technical Roadmaps.

  • Establishing Visibility, Promoting Engagement, and Driving Consensus Across Leadership.

  • Prioritizing Value via Nimble, Modular Design and Architecture.

  • Championing and Embedding Operational Excellence and Automation from Day One.

  • Building Collaborative Relationships with Customers, Partners, and Vendors.

I believe it is critical to foster a culture of team-based decision-making and trade-offs, ensuring leadership is perfectly aligned on what is in-scope and what is out-of-scope. This collective clarity ensures the entire company is powerfully driving toward the same strategic goals.

Ultimately, my focus is not just on building software, but on building certainty. I translate complex strategy into executable roadmaps, ensuring every line of code written delivers measurable business value and reduces the risk of project failure. Let's discuss how we can bring this level of strategic clarity and execution excellence to your most critical initiatives.
